By registering to the Norwich Research Network (NRN), you undertake to respect these general user conditions set by Foolproof Limited, which it shall be free to modify at any time. Consequently, it is recommended that you refer to the latest version of these Terms and Conditions regularly, which are available on the Foolproof NRN page at all times.
Without exception, when joining this Network you agree to accepting these general conditions beforehand, the purpose of which is to define the terms under which you benefit from the service.
You’re joining the NRN and your active participation within research is subject to adhering to these general conditions.
You recognise that you have read these general conditions and hereby declare that you accept them unreservedly.
Participation in the NRN is free and is offered solely to people who are legally empowered to sign a contract.
Provided the conditions set out hereinabove are adhered to, several people from the same household may take part in the NRN.
Participants’ membership is subject to NRN receiving the full registration questionnaire, filled in by the participant online.
The sincerity and comprehensiveness of the responses are checked in all cases. Should there be any doubts, any confirmed or suspected fraud shall be grounds for automatically terminating the participant’s membership.
The contract shall come into force as of the date when the following two conditions are fulfilled:
From that date onwards, unless early termination is invoked, the participant shall be registered for an indeterminate period.
When registering, the participant is asked to provide a permanent e-mail address and contact numbers at which he or she can be contacted. We ask participants to email us (nrn@foolproof.co.uk) if these details change.
The latest address and contact numbers entered by the participant will be the one used by Foolproof to inform/contact the participant and to invite him or her to the surveys if he or she has agreed to participate to the Foolproof surveys that should be answered and any updates to the service.
Consequently, the participant alone is responsible for updating the email address and contact numbers at which he or she can be contacted. Foolproof may not be held liable for failures to call/ email with a research enquiry because addresses or contact numbers were missing or incorrect.
The participant undertakes to respond to the different questions submitted by Foolproof both sincerely and objectively.
The participant warrants that they shall not register more than once on the NRN and accepts that multiple registrations on the NRN is contrary to these Terms & Conditions of membership and will lead to membership termination.
In return for his or her sincere, active participation in each study for the NRN, the fees the participant shall receive depends upon the type of study. Typically, usability tests and focus groups can expect to receive £40/£50 per study as they obviously incur some personal expense to you, such as travel.
Usability test and focus group fees are paid in cash when you complete the study before you leave.
Foolproof reserve the right to offer a substitute reward of equivalent value to the prize offered initially; and change the value of the nominated amount in respect of answering survey and research questions.
Foolproof reserves the right to suspend or terminate this contract at any time without this limiting the provisions of Article 5 of this contract in any way.
Foolproof shall regularly check the consistency of participants’ responses to the questions in order to ensure their validity and quality. Foolproof may exclude participants under the age of 18 years.
Foolproof consequently reserves the right to terminate the contract for any participant who has not answered a single question during a 12 month period, assuming that the participant has of course accepted to participate when joining the community and had been solicited for such action during this time period.
Termination of the membership contract should preferably be done via e-mail to the following address: mailto:nrn@foolproof.co.uk. However, any other form of termination may be used, with it being understood that the participant alone assumes responsibility for the consequences of termination notified via a letter.
In particular, Foolproof may not be held liable for the loss of registration data which may occur due to fraudulent termination carried out by any means other than a registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt.
Should a simple letter or e-mail message be sent, the word “Termination” as well full name and contact details must be specified clearly in the message so that the request can be authenticated.
