My approach to every project is to bring creative and innovative thinking to the table. I have a background in product and service design and a real passion for research, which has provided me with a multidisciplinary approach to projects and the right tools and research experience to really get under the skin of the user landscape.
As part of my degree at the Glasgow School of Art, I was taught that to answer a design brief successfully the emphasis of the project should not be placed on materials, processes and manufacturing like other product design courses but instead on answering the brief with insights and research to inform, inspire and act as a spring board for delivering the most effective and beneficial solution to both the users and client.
I have had the opportunity to work on a variety of live projects in the past and look forward to a colourful and exciting future as a Foolproofer.
Outside of work I enjoy spontaneous banter with friends with a good and varied use of sarcasm, playing sports, travel and old horror movies. I have the personal inability to remember any song lyrics, sing in tune, or at the right time. This is an ongoing, and sometimes daily struggle, and something I would like to improve to make me a more musical individual.
