UX Consultant
Nicole Harlow

Having obtained a BA (Hons) in Industrial Design and Technology, I have a strong background in product and service design.

Specialising in both user-centred design and sustainability, it was at Loughborough University that my passion for user experience ignited. During my studies I took particular interest in exploring the emergence and development of user-centred design, the methodologies used to implement it and its place in academia and industry.

Since joining the company, I have worked on a number of diverse user-centred research and design projects, across various platforms and for a number of clients including: Channel 4, Transport for London (TFL), Lloyds TSB, Unilever, BT, ITV and Bupa.

Whether working on a web, mobile or product platform, I find it fascinating to watch how users behave and interact with the interfaces they encounter. In particular, I enjoy exploring the correlation between the way in which a user journey is designed and how it is actually experienced. Through my own experiences, I have developed a belief that innovation comes from gaining insight into user behaviour and not just from improving functionality.

I have grown up with a love of music. Having recently taught myself to play the guitar and having tried my hand at song-writing, I now aim to take on my next challenge - learning to play the piano!
