UX Consultant
Souleymane Camara

I have over seven years’ cumulative experience in interactive instruction design, teaching and learning in higher education, research and publication.

I worked for several years as an Interactive Education Consultant for different international organisations in various African countries designing, training and producing interactive radio programmes and social campaigns. I also worked as a freelancer designing and implementing dynamic web applications for effective and efficient user experiences and business processes for a number of businesses.

I consider myself to be a dedicated researcher in the field of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), and am interested in interaction design with an emphasis on participation and evaluation of socio-technical issues, multi-disciplinarity, context and culture within geographically diverse settings. Since joining the company, I have worked with various clients including Waitrose, BT, BUPA, Shell, Ebiquity and London Underground/Transport for London.

I have a keen interest in socio-technical context of cultural diversities. For example in Swahili, “Pole” can mean sorry, forgive me, I feel for you, excuse me, slowly, keep it up. Design challenge?

To relax and cogitate I enjoy cooking; my BBQ is on all year around.
