After 5 years’ working as a Human Factors practitioner in the Great White North (Canada), I decided to move to Europe in 2001 to experience the varied cultures and languages. I brought with me my passion for human centred design and creating engaging interactions at work and play.
It all started in the 90’s with an Honours Bachelors and Masters degrees in Ergonomics at Dalhousie University, exploring the design of bicycle saddles, keyboards and workstations - in order to optimise human performance. My passion for ‘optimising’ human interactions expanded its reach beyond the physical and cognitive, to include emotional, as well as creation of practical business solutions.
In 2007, I completed an Executive MBA at Cass Business School, which helped me develop into the role of Joint Managing Director at System Concepts Ltd. With over 15 years’ international experience in the industry, I have now joined the Foolproof group as the Experience Design Director.
When not working with my colleagues, you can find me at the UK UPA (Profession Development Representative), giving presentations at industry conferences, studying Italian, embarking on a motorcycle licence, or running along London streets.
