During this phase we move the project from the drawing board into a production environment.
We supervise the development of design templates to accompany a detailed build specification into development. At this point the project is moved across to your build partner. We continue to provide design advice into this phase to help resolve any executional issues that arise during development.
We will normally schedule a round of usability testing later on in this phase. This is the final check that we have successfully delivered the experience we’ve been planning and make any final amends before live.
If you haven’t followed a user-centred design process before, the night before going live will feel very different: you’ll have a much stronger sense of confidence that you have conceived and built a user experience which meets both business and customer needs; you’ll probably have spent less money iterating graphic design and code; your project is more likely to be arriving on time; you will be looking forward to the big launch party with more enthusiasm.
Enjoy the moment!
