Create a detailed working model of the user experience and iterate this with target customers.
Having developed a clear set of requirements and defined the project scope in detail we can start the process of building out the experience. This will include sitemap, taxonomy, information architecture and detailed user journeys. It’s also at this point that we brief graphic designers to develop a branded interaction experience.
This usually culminates in a clickable prototype which can be used for stakeholder review and customer testing. We normally recommend putting a first draft of copy in at this stage: it can have a dramatic impact on the persuasiveness and effectiveness of design and shouldn’t be seen just as part of the Build phase.
Findings from user research allow us to tune the experience, taking the opportunity to improve usability and persuasiveness before committing to the Development phase.
