Research facilities

Our UK research facilities meet a wide range of research needs:

• Depth interviews - High specification research labs for one-on-one testing
• Focus groups - We have comfortable, fully equipped facilities for carrying out focus groups
• Eye tracking – Used in a variety of projects to provide gaze trail analysis. The equipment is unobtrusive allowing for normal user interaction
• Mobile device testing – High spec document camera for observing respondents using mobile phones and hand-held devices
• Field interviews – Our portable testing kit means we can set up research anywhere in the UK or internationally, including in respondents’ homes
• Workshops – We can host and facilitate workshops including ideation
• Online research tools – These tools enable quick turnaround of techniques such as remote testing, card sorting, discussions, and written diaries
• Accessibility testing - We have access to major assistive technologies and recording facilities for testing with people with disabilities.

Viewing facilities

• Comfortable, air conditioned viewing facilities that can accommodate up to 10 people
• Visual and audio feeds via high quality screens, plus live screen projection of testing stimulus
• Live viewing of eye tracking gaze trails
• Our research facilities include disabled toilet, access ramp into building and waiting area for carers and guide dogs.

Technology

• Digital recording using Morae to capture audio, screen based behaviour, and keystrokes
• Tobii eye tracking for gaze trail analysis
• Elmo TT-02 Rx document camera for testing on mobile devices
• HD capable portable testing kit for conducting research anywhere in the UK and internationally, includes the facility for eye tracking
• We can support testing on macs and PCs with any browser
• Wireless internet access
