Persona problems

I saw Pete present at a conference on Monday and this slide of his summed up quite neatly the argument Tim was making in his blog Taking the U out of UCD. And it made me laugh.

Used intelligently, personas can provide a valuable reference point for design teams. But over-reliance on personas, at the expense of primary research or testing, can lead to trouble.
