As an Account Manager, I’m responsible for establishing strong business relationships with new and existing clients alike. I strongly believe that people are likely to remember those who helped them to overcome obstacles in their lives or career, and that’s what I aim to do. Through providing solutions to problems that individual product owners or businesses face, stronger bonds will be forged and there will ultimately be a win-win for both parties!
I like to think of myself as someone who envisions multiple approaches to solve any given problem. Being able to think outside of the box and having the ability to proactively formulate unique propositions is the first step to being a cut above the rest.
Having experience in creative development right up to media publication, I have been exposed to many interpretations to what creativity looks like in the eyes of different individuals. There are some who see creativity as the courage to do something that hasn’t been done before. Others interpret creativity as looking at something differently and being able to convince others to see it in the same way that they do.
I took a diploma in info-communication before deciding that the coding life wasn’t for me. Fast forward two years after my national service, it hit me that I’ve always enjoyed understanding what goes on in the minds of everyday people. Why some people like the sweet-tasting skin of an apple but others prefer the sour flesh of an orange. It was then that I made the decision to go into marketing to gain a deeper understanding of the mind of a consumer. And I’m glad to say that after three years of a degree and three years of a career in marketing, I haven’t regretted it one bit.
Before being a part of this awesome organisation, I had no idea what UX/UI was. It wasn’t apparent to me that there was an organisation out there that covered formative research as well as catering to consumer and business’ needs and then translating them into design work. This unique approach affirmed my decision to be a part of Foolproof further. And no matter at what point of time you are reading this, I can tell you that I haven’t regretted this decision.
Outside of staring intently at a screen all day, I like to spend my free time at home…. staring intently at a screen all day. Yes, I am an avid gamer and have been since a young age. But when I’m not engrossed in the latest Battlefield release or deep into the mythical realm of magic and dragons, I enjoy the outdoors and revelling in the wonders that mother nature has to offer (aside from the sweltering heat in Singapore).
