As a Consultant, I help organisations to provide useful and compelling services, by understanding what people need and value. I work closely with clients to understand their business objectives, and to ensure that user needs are at the forefront of their decision-making processes.
I’m passionate about understanding human behaviour - listening intently to what people say and observing what they do. Professionally, I’m motivated by trying to understand the underlying meaning of this behaviour as a means to identify untapped opportunities.
I believe that user-centred design is most effective when done in multidisciplinary teams. I embrace working collaboratively with people from various fields - for example, product owners, designers and content writers - to plan, conduct and analyse research projects, and to develop solutions.
Before Foolproof, I worked at Government Digital Service and Citizens Advice, where I found my passion for working on projects that help to improve people’s lives. In particular, I enjoyed working on services used by vulnerable members of society - for example, people with mental and physical disabilities. Often, it was for these audiences that user-centred design offered the greatest benefit.
Outside of Foolproof I enjoy playing the guitar - particularly blues and jazz music - and finding any opportunity I can to explore nature.
