As the Office Manager in Singapore, I take care of front of house, office and finance administration, team welfare and general up keeping and management of the office.
I especially find joy in planning and organising fun activities and social events for the team to let their hair down. We are a small team and while we work hard, we never forget to rest and recharge.
My role in finance has transited from basic bookkeeping to more in-depth responsibilities such as payroll, budgeting and creating a simple management accounts to reflect the financial health of the business.
It is always valuable to learn something new and since joining Foolproof, I have not stopped learning and that makes me a happy camper! What shouts out to me most about Foolproof is one of its core values: be brave. I believe one learns the most through adversity and throwing yourself into a new role challenges your mind, and that makes me excited to come to work each day.
Having been exposed to design thinking throughout the past year, I have started applying the principles in different ways - be it planning an event or overseeing the two office refurbishments. It can be so gratifying to apply what you learn, especially a skill related to the business.
Before joining Foolproof, I was a financial advisor for five years and then moved into a concierge role in 2010, where I learnt many creative ways to fulfil customers’ requests. These experiences have prepped me to look after the Singapore office.
In my spare time, I enjoy baking, food photography, travelling and skiing. I love the French language and culture, and visit Paris every winter to visit my sister and hit the slopes.
