Google was one of six on the Mobile Lions shortlist at this year’s Cannes Festival. Google UK London was nominated for its Super Sync Sports game in the ‘Networked Mobile Technology’ category.
Super Sync Sports allows users to use their mobile as a remote through the Google Chrome browser.
The Mobile Lions category that rewards the best creative work which lives on or is activated by a mobile device, app or mobile web. From over 1,000 entries the winner was ‘Smart TXTBKS’, a Philippian a campaign to combat the decreasing availability of textbooks in the country by condensing books into text messages.
We were thrilled to work with Google Creative Lab earlier this year on Super Sync Sports, conducting user research to explore how easy it was to use and how satisfying it was to play. Based on our findings we then advised on how to improve the experience.
Since its launch Super Sync Sports has had great reviews, achieving 4.5 stars out of 5 in the chrome store and being named ‘site of the month’ by the FWA.
