As a Senior Designer here at Foolproof, I solve complex problems using over a decade’s worth of design and strategy knowledge. I am in my element working in uncertainty, finding order in chaos and generally applying high-level systems thinking to the projects I work on.
I have been a developer, designer and agency owner in my career. As a result, I have developed a diverse skill-set that doesn’t pigeon hole me into any one role. As a multi-disciplinary, I sit somewhere between design, strategy and consultancy.
I have a keen interest in strategy and product design and have become a proponent of the ‘business model canvas’ and ‘value proposition design’ methods. These are tools that have shaped the way that I think about projects, business and how important it is to understand all areas of a project whilst being able to “get out of the way” and empower your team to get on with their respective responsibilities.
My adaptable nature and ability to problem-solve allows me to anticipate and appropriately respond to any challenges which may occur while on a project, drawing on the Agile project management principles in order to identify problems early and change track if needed.
My work has won me Webby and W3 awards while I’ve spoken at the International Digital Health conference Doctors 2.0 on the subject of patient centred design.
Outside of work, I would consider myself a muso, yes I am that pretentious.
